The Reshoring Initiative (Kildeer, IL) and the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA; Independence, OH) invite companies that have successfully reshored parts or tooling made primarily by metal forming, fabricating or machining to apply for the first National Reshoring Award. There will be one award for buyers and one for suppliers.
In the United States, American-made products are highly regarded, with good reason, as they obviously boost the local economy as opposed to foreign-made products. Thanks to Sherrill Manufacturing Inc. and their brand Liberty Tabletop, silverware manufacturing is alive and well in the United States. Founded in 2005, the company took over the sprawling one-million-square-foot facilities from Oneida Ltd. and is now the only flatware maker left in the USA.
