These are a few things we had on our Christmas list this past week. Having it on a list was pretty helpful for us!

  1. Last Minute American Made Gifts! Stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, the just in case gifts… and wrapping
  2. Start cooking! You can make anything that can sit for more than a week, like cookies. It’s all about saving time!
  3. Be an Elf for the day. Wrap ALL of your gifts in one day taking BINGE to a whole new level. Make it a family affair. Play some Christmas music, grab some of those Christmas cookies, pour some eggnog and get to wrapping!
  4. If you set a table with linens, crystal glasses, and dishes, now would be a great time to wash and iron ahead of time. Clean and dry all platters and serving dishes, and wash and iron the table linens.
  5. And lastly, CHILL! Yes, you read correctly. Take a moment, sit back and just relax! Sit with your family and embrace these times you get to spend with your family.

With only two weeks left until Christmas, putting this Christmas list together help us more than you can imagine!

  1. Tidy up! Start your holiday cleaning. We usually start with the bedrooms and end with the bathrooms. If you have a hallway closet, make sure it has room for coats, and check that you have enough hangers! Maintain the rooms as the weeks go by.
  2. Freeze it! Prepare as many dishes as you can freeze.
  3. Guest ready! If you are hosting overnight guests, prepare the rooms, get the linens ready.
  4. Me Time! Shop for all of your party-ready outfits. Treat yourself to an early Christmas gift for yourself.
  5. Be Santa for the Day! Deliver gifts to Teachers, Mailman, Barista, Gas Station Attendant, etc…

With only three weeks left until Christmas, this family made use of this Christmas list!

  1. Post it! The art of Christmas and Holiday cards is not lost. Mail them out NOW to not only ensure early delivery, but it gives the receiver time to enjoy the beautiful card you sent them.
  2. If you can, Go Green! This is the perfect time to get a real tree and garland. Or if that’s not your thing, it’s the perfect time to start putting your tree together! We spend so much time prepping for this time of the year, why not trim the tree early so we can sit around it and enjoy it?
  3. Final Touches – Finish the decor – inside and out – once and for all. We begin decorating the week before Thanksgiving and finish about two weeks after. Our family always says it looks like Santas Elves took over our home.
  4. Decisions, Decisions! Finalize menus and potluck dishes. Remember to always make a little bit more for those who decide to stop by at the last moment. Leftovers always go well this time of year!
  5. Buy it! Buy the non-perishable items like drinks, canned goods, spirits, wine, mixers etc… Don’t forget to pick up containers for leftovers!

With four weeks until Christmas, we were thinking ahead. This Christmas list helped us!

  1. List it! Make a master gift list for your family and friends. Work on your menu and hit the grocery store.
  2. Budget! We can all get carried away this time of year. Giving makes us feel good! But we do need to maintain a budget. Jot down a dollar amount for each person on your list. You can buy them one gift or five gifts, as long as you do not go over that number. It helps!
  3. Hit the Sales! Take advantage of those deals. Keep the lists on you at all times. You never know what you may come across in your daily travels! You may find an awesome deal for your Uncle or Cousin.
  4. Wrap as you go! We are guilty of this. How many times in the past have you said, “Next year, I will start early and wrap as I go?” More times than I can remember. Maybe now, with these lists on hand, next year I will wrap as I go!
  5. Take Inventory! Make sure you have enough tableware and decor for the event.
